With the persistent global shortage of semiconductor chips, Japanese chipmaker Renesas Electronics Corp and India’s Tata Motors have partnered to make a solution. Taiwan’s United Microelectronics Corp. plans to build a new advanced manufacturing facility in Singapore which will be a huge help with growing demand. “The first phase of this greenfield fab will have a monthly capacity of 30,000 wafers with production expected to commence in late 2024.” To find out more, click here.
