To further prevent damage to devices during shipping and storage, loaded carrier tape is typically wound onto a plastic take-up reel. Advantek's LOKREEL® products, available in 7", 13" and 22" diameters, are made from high impact injection molded polystyrene (HIPS), offering exceptional protection to packaged devices. All Advantek LOKREELs have a large flange area for increased label space and product protection and are available in most EIA standard carrier tape widths.

Advantek's 13" LOKREEL incorporates a patented snap together design that eliminates the hidden costs of one-piece pre-assembled reels. This feature allows for high-density packaging that can reduce supply room space requirements by up to 60% and shipping costs by up to 70%.

The 22" LOKREEL's sturdy design and easy assembly make it ideal for when higher volumes of parts per reel are required. As a bulk supply reel, the 22" LOKREEL is also ideal in particulate-sensitive situations where paper reels are not permitted.

Advantek's 7" reel provides excellent and inexpensive protection when shipping small components such as bare die.

PROBANDSTM
Protective bands, or PROBANDSTM are long strips of static-dissipative polystyrene. When a PROBAND protected LOKREEL is placed into a moisture barrier bag and subjected to vacuum, the PROBAND protects the carrier tape within from damaging pressure.

LOKBANDS®
LOKBANDS® fasten to the outer edges of 13" and 22" molded plastic reels, preventing the flanges from compacting during dry-pack or handling. The LOKBAND also helps protect packaged components from impact damage.
